Choose this day whom YOU will serve...I am choosing (and struggling at it) to serve the Lord and not my flesh aka satan. I am reminded of the unseen battle going on in the spiritual realm. I am unable in and of myself to fight against it, but thank You Lord that You in me gives me hope for glory!

The chorus to an old hymnn kept running through my head last night. It must have bben the Holy Spirit because I have not heard this song in years. The words were, "Only believe, only believe;
All things are possible, only believe, Only believe, only believe;All things are possible, only believe."
It is so hard to keep trusting that God is working in our situations when the storms rage around us. We must believe! We have to trust and we have to continue praising God that He is in control and He has a plan for our lives that is good! He is still fighting for us but He also tells us to resist the devil and he will flee. Remember what to say when someone is trying to hurt you? “Leave me alone in the name of Jesus!” When doubts and discouragement and depression and despair come into our lives we need to trust God and tell the enemy to leave us alone in the name of Jesus!
We are in a battle. We know there is a battle for our very souls. The enemy wants to tell us lies and fill us with discouragement. Remember the story of Daniel when he fasted and prayed for 21 days and there was a battle going on in heaven to keep God’s help and answer back. The angel had to go and intervene. Daniel 9
Ephesians 6:10 – 18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
